PD-01 control unit for steaming chambers is the successor of PD-02. He inherited all the good characteristics of his predecessor and further improved them. The main changes are as follows:

• Unlike the PD-02, the PD-01 can control only one pair.
    
• The valve control is implemented with two relays with the option of selecting ON/OFF or PID control.
    
• Manually managing relay outputs (valve) are now realized with the keys instead of trilateral switches.
    
• Inputs for temperature probes are used for just one chamber in the following way:
       - Inputs 1 and 2 are used for ambient temperature measurement
       - Input 3 is used to measure the temperature of wood
       - Input 4 is used to measure incoming vapor temperature
       Note: Using 2, 3 and 4 inputs is optional and can be adjusted by parameters.
  

The control unit itself has been improved with many improvements. This also applies to steaming equipment and appropriate steaming chambers.

Beside wood dryers, "NIGOS-elektronik" also produce wood steaming chambers. Most commonly used steaming chambers have volume between 20 and 30 m3.

Customer can order complete solution with prefabricated chamber, or equipment with doors only (installed in existent chamber made by customer).

User can also choose direct or indirect type of wood steaming chamber. For direct wood steaming type we offer only automation unit PD-01, while the rest of equipment provide supplier of boiler facility. For indirect wood steaming chambers we can offer all equipment (automation unit, heaters, water level control, etc). Steam at pressure 0.5bar or water heated to 120 °C is required for proper operation of indirect steaming chambers.

Wood steaming chambers can also be used for thermal wood and pallet treatment according to ISPM 15 phytosanitary regulations. ISPM-15 wood pallet sterilization unit MKS-05 is required for such application.

Warranty for PD-01 controller is 5 years. Technical data are given in following tables.
